I was told different things each time I spoke to someone, and did everything I was instructed to do to facilitate my request to downgrade my policy. Finally, I had to do it all online myself, creating an entirely new policy with new account number. NOthing about this process was easy or timely, and had I not already wasted so much time on this so far, I was very close to just finding another insurance company altogether.
