This webinar will explore indemnity and expenses for professional liability claims on behalf of occupational therapists insured under the CNA/HPSO program. This program will describe top allegations made against occupational therapists in malpractice lawsuits as well as patient injuries and outcomes. Using this information, occupational therapists can examine their own current practices in relation to the allegations of malpractice claims and losses experienced by their peers. Put Your Liability IQ to the Test: Top Reasons Pharmacists Get Sued

When: Thursday, October 6, 2016

Overview: Pharmacist leaders need to develop risk management programs to reduce the number of malpractice claims made against pharmacists. More than $8.6 million was paid in indemnity and expenses for professional liability claims on behalf of pharmacists during a 5-year period. Analysis revealed that professional liability claims were most likely to involve allegations that the pharmacist dispensed the wrong drug, wrong dose and compounding. Selected claims asserted against pharmacists will be discussed.

Physical Therapy Professional Liability Exposures: 2016 Claim Report

Overview: Did you know that more than $42 million was paid in indemnity and expenses for professional liability claims on behalf of physical therapy professionals during the most recent 5-year analysis (2010-2014)? This is an increase from the previous report findings of $44 million over 10 years. The webinar will explore indemnity and expenses for professional liability claims on behalf of physical therapists insured under the CNA/HPSO program. This program will describe top allegations made against physical therapists in malpractice lawsuits as well as patient injuries and outcomes. Using this information, physical therapists can examine their own current practices in relation to the allegations of malpractice in relation to claims and losses experienced by their peers. Selected claims asserted against physical therapists will be discussed.
