Continuing EducationNEW! Counselor's Guide to MalpracticeCounseling is a collaborative relationship in which human development professionals work with clients to find solutions and achieve the client's life goals. Sometimes, though, problems don't get solved. You may experience a client who struggles with or doesn't following the treatment plan, and blames you. If that client perceives he or she has been injured and perceives that injury is the result of you providing, or failing to provide, professional services, that client could sue. But you can take steps to cut the odds considerably. HPSO's continuing education series for counselors has been designed for you to help you:
The content and tests are available online, through our partner, Data Trace Publishing Company for only $35. Review the series and take the tests online. A 10% premium discount can be applied for the 6 contact hours received for taking and passing the HPSO risk management course, provided that the certificate of completion is presented to HPSO by mail at 159 East County Line Road, Hatboro, PA 19040 or by fax at 800-758-3635. The course must have been taken within last 12 months in order for discount to be applied. Full-time individual HPSO customers cannot combine this discount with any other discount. This includes discounts for part-time, new graduate, retired or leave of absence. These customers may still take the course for CE credit, but are not eligible for the 10% premium discount.
