Woman Claims Abandonment by Psychologist - Defendant Claims Plaintiff Wouldn’t Follow His Orders and She Stalked Him After Treatment Was Terminated - Defense Verdict.

The plaintiff, in her fifties, was terminated from her treatment by the defendant psychologist in March 2003. The plaintiff suffered from depression, personality disorder and other psychological conditions and had been treating with the psychologist for three years.

The plaintiff alleged abandonment, which caused her condition to become more severe.

The defendant claimed that treatment was properly ended when the plaintiff failed to comply with his orders to seek immediate medical attention after telling him that she had attempted suicide. The defendant also claimed that the plaintiff had stalked him by standing outside of his residence and throwing rocks at his windows.

The plaintiff was found guilty on criminal charges for these actions and put on probation.

According to a published account a defense verdict was returned.
